The longstanding experience in corporate law, private practice and sports, warrants an optimal support, both as attorney as well as mediator, to corporations and sports organizations.

Joost is General Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional League of the KNVB and mediator at the Ministry of Defense, the Institute for Sports Law (ISR) and the Dutch Arbitration Institute (NAI). 
At an international level Joost is mediator at the FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Joost is member of the Dutch Bar Association, the Association for Sports Law, the Mediators Federation Netherlands (MfN), the Dutch Mediators Association, the Dutch Association of Mediators Attorneys (NVVMA) and the Platform Business Mediation.

Register of legal areas
Joost Batelaan has registered in the register of legal areas of the Dutch Bar Association as main legal area Psychiatric patients law. As a result of this registration it is every calendar year compulsory to obtain 10 education points according to the respective guidelines of the Dutch Bar Association.
